Terms of Service
The service
Scrolute lets you save links and notes, creates text summaries and suggested actions with the help of AI, and exposes reminders as a private calendar feed. It is provided as is, without guarantees of accuracy. Summaries and transcripts can be wrong; check the original before acting, especially for deadlines.
Eligibility
You must be 18 or over, and old enough to form a binding contract where you live or have a parent or guardian agree.
Your responsibilities
- Save only content you are allowed to access. Do not use the service to copy, redistribute or publish other people's material.
- Do not abuse the service, bypass rate limits, or probe other accounts.
- Keep your Shortcut token and calendar URL private; they act like passwords.
Content and licence
You keep your rights in your notes. You grant the operator a limited licence to process what you save in order to run the service for you. Third-party posts remain the property of their owners; the service stores only derived text for your private use and does not store or display their media.
What Scrolute won't process
Scrolute refuses links from adult, piracy and dark-web sites, and does not summarise sexually explicit content, material that promotes or sells illegal goods or services, sexual content involving minors, or content promoting terrorism or violent extremism. Such saves are marked as not allowed and their content is not kept. Accounts used for this may be closed.
What you promise about what you save
By saving, uploading or sending anything through Scrolute you confirm that you are allowed to access it and to ask for it to be processed for your own private use, and that you will not use Scrolute's summaries, transcripts or the Send feature to republish, sell or pass off other people's work. You are responsible for what you choose to save and send, and for following the terms of the platforms it came from.
Your indemnity
If you use Scrolute in breach of these terms or the law, for example by saving, uploading or sending material you have no right to use, or by using it to infringe someone else's rights, you agree to cover the operator's reasonable losses and costs from claims caused by that misuse. This does not apply to claims caused by the operator's own acts, and it does not remove any rights you have under consumer law where you live.
Termination
You can delete your account in Settings at any time. We may suspend accounts that break these terms or the copyright policy.
Liability and law
Scrolute is a free service in private testing. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including a missed deadline, application or booking that relied on a summary or reminder, and our total liability to you is limited to HK$100. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law. These terms are governed by the laws of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, and its courts have jurisdiction, without removing any consumer protection you have where you live.
